I usually post my episodes every week or every other.

Episode 23 (year 5): Interview with Me and Reuben (Part 2)

This second part of the interview with Reuben Benzel, a high school math teacher in Indianapolis, explores how his teaching dynamics changed before, during, and after the pandemic, along with his background in economics and education, his involvement in innovation programs, and his interests in educational technology and time with his daughter.

This is the second part to the interview with Reuben. It is about his teaching for math at a high school in Indianapolis, Indiana. I asked him questions about how his teaching dynamics changed before, during and after the pandemic. Reuben Benzel has been teaching high school mathematics for the past 12 years. He has a BA in Economics from Oberlin College and a MAT from Marian University. Outside of the math classroom, Mr. Benzel sponsors Innovate WithIn, a Shark Tank like competition for high school students sponsored by the StartEdUpFoundation. He participates in the StartEdUp Innovation Educator Fellowship. Outside of the walls of school, Mr. Benzel is interested in trends in educational technology and spends time with his 8 year old daughter Alice. I know I'm posting this late sorry.

Episode 6 (year 5): How Many Educators and Professionals Are Neurodiverse or Know Someone Who Is?

How many doctors, teachers, academic counselors and tutors are neurodiverse? Or know someone who is neurodiverse?

The topic discusses how many professionals, like doctors, teachers, and tutors, are neurodiverse or know someone who is. It suggests that if more doctors understood neurodiversity, they could better address challenges related to chronic pain, medication effectiveness, weight management, and self-care. The text highlights that neurodiverse individuals face different challenges than neurotypicals, and professionals who recognize this could offer more effective and compassionate care.
