Episode 44 (year 3): Juggling NLD with Five Podcasts, Full-Time Job, Side Hustle, and Chronic Migraines
I know I have done quite a few episodes on my learning difference and migraines, but I thought I would try to do an episode on how it is for me to juggle that, my personal life, my professional life and my podcast life.
I know I have done quite a few episodes on my learning difference and migraines, but I thought I would try to do an episode on how it is for me to juggle that, my personal life, my professional life and my podcast life. For those of you who don’t know me very well I have a learning difference, called nonverbal, learning disability, chronic migraines, which I’ve had for almost 9 years. And recently I have now five podcasts!

Episode 41 (year 3): NLD, Sleep, Dreams, and Migraines
Do you have challenges with staying asleep, falling asleep or remembering your dreams? Even before I knew I had NLD and the migraines started I had problems with sleeping especially after disclosing about the sexual abuse I had in my childhood to my mom. Now, I use CBD gummies, the “Sleepy” podcast, deep breathing, journaling, and lucid dreaming to help me fall asleep.

Episode 40 (year 3): Interview with Barbara and Me (Part 3)
This episode is the final part of an interview with me and Barbara Arrowsmith Young. She is the creator of "The Arrowsmith Program of cognitive exercises lies in Barbara Arrowsmith-Young’s journey of discovery and innovation to overcome her own severe learning disabilities, a description of which appears in the article, Building a Better Brain or in Chapter 2 of the book, “The Brain That Changes Itself” by Dr. Norman Doidge. Diagnosed in grade one as having a mental block, which today would have been identified as multiple learning disabilities, she read and wrote everything backwards, had trouble processing concepts in language, continuously got lost and was physically uncoordinated. Barbara eventually learnt to read and write from left to right and mask a number of the symptoms of her learning disabilities through heroic effort, however she continued throughout her educational career to have difficulty with specific aspects of learning." Episode 39 (year 3): NLD and Music
As a NVLDer I love music because it helps me to cope with difficult past experiences in my life especially from my childhood and adulthood. I’m not sure if this is true for you as well if you have NLD, ADHD, Asperger’s, ASD or a different neurodiverse diagnosis. You may also experience as a neurotypical.

Episode 36 (year 3): NLD and Vocabulary in Personal, Academic, Politics and Professional Settings
Have you had challenges with building on your vocabulary in academic, personal, political, and professional settings? Have you had problems on guessing the meaning of words based on the context they’re used in? Have you had issues with remembering the definition of new or old words?
I know I’ve had all of those problems and still do. It’s challenging for me to guess what a word means by using the context that it was used in but I’m working on it. It’s tricky for me to remember what some words mean because they have so many meanings for one word. This also makes it challenging to remember definitions of new words.

Episode 31 (year 3): NLD and the Process of Letting Go and Forgiving Not Forgetting
Have you ever tried to let go of something from happened to you in you past? Was it challenging because of you being a neurotypical or neurodivergent? Have you tried to forget what happened in the past? And realized all you can do is move on or let go at your own pace? I’ve been through all these challenges with NLD, my sexual abuse, family drama related to disclosing the abuse, my first romantic relationship ending, homesickness and being bulimic in college and my con artist experience during COVID.
I'll try to do the support group for "Empowering Neurodivergents," on March 18th at 10am (PT), please let me know you're coming via email. It's usually an hour long.

Episode 30 (year 3): NLD, Emotions and Therapy
This episode will be about NLD and emotions. How I have dealt with them in my childhood, pre-teens, high school, college and adult years. A few factors that changed how I dealt with them was NLD, my childhood sexual abuse, love relationships, and being conned by someone that I thought that loved me. I do want to warn you that this could be triggering for you if you or anyone that you love has gone through similar things that I’m discussing today.
I'm sorry but I'll have to put the support group for neurodivergents on hold until I can work through some of my personal things.

Episode 28 (year 3): NLD, My Chronic Illness Frustrations, and Close Calls with Car Accidents
Today's episode was an unscripted one because I got choked up after my dr's appointment. I'm so frustrated about not having easy answers about how to many my chronic migraine condition. I've had this for almost 9 years and it started when I was diagnosed with NLD. Please go to past episodes for more information on these topics if you would like more. Thank you for listening and being okay with being vulnerable with you I appreciate it.
I'm sorry but I'll have to put the support group for neurodivergents on hold until I can work through some of my personal things.

Episode 27 (year 3): NLD, Managing Finances and Executive Functioning
Have you ever had challenges with managing your finances because of having NLD, ADHD, ASD, Dysculcuia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia or any other learning challenge? Do you also have issues with abstract concepts? And tracking where you went wrong or made mistakes? Or comprehending the big picture? I’m still experiencing these challenges today. I try to balance my budget each month with mom and it’s not easy because I have NLD and chronic migraines.
I'm sorry but I'll have to put the support group for neurodivergents on hold until I can work through some of my personal things.
